I choose ingredients, which are naturally gluten free but are still whole grain, such as quinoa, oats and brown rice. This is very important to me.  So often, gluten free recipes are full of starches and sugars making them quite unhealthy.  Eating food that is nutritious and delicious should be easy even for folks who are gluten free.  This is why I have crafted my gluten free recipes to be tasty and nutritious.   In addition, many of my gluten free recipes are totally grain free, using almond flour as a high protein, low carb alternative to grains. My Grain Free Banana Bread is a great example of a healthy banana bread recipe that is grain free as well as gluten free. In addition to being gluten and grain free, it is made with honey so it is free of refined sugar.  It uses a bit of coconut oil instead of butter to make it dairy free as well. This is a truly healthy banana bread the whole family will enjoy. My kids gobble it up.  They can’t tell the difference between this recipe and regular banana bread.
